Astor House - Guest house

Me and my partner stayed in this property on the 19th January and would never recommend to any one else. We were allowed to check in early which was fantastic but after an afternoon nap we were faced with finding hundreds of bed bugs in our headboard. We informed the manager who then offered us another room which smelt of raw sewage so we declined that room too. She finally offered us a third room and by this point we were happy to have a bed that wasn’t infested with bed bugs. When we left the hotel after an extremely poor breakfast we contacted booking.com who said the manager offered us a measly £50 refund. Completely unacceptable. We stayed in room 2. We've just returned and I felt compelled to review how lovely this place is. We booked a family room and I was expecting it to be cramped but there was plenty of room for the three of us. It was nicely decorated and we had fantastic views right across Bath. It was extremely clean and well presented. The staff were lovely. And breakfast was excellent. A slow walk into the city centre took us 20 mins, but there's also a bus stop almost outside for £1 each! We would definitely stay here again if we go back to Bath.

A stunning b&b just a 15 minute walk from Bath city centre. Gorgeous room with an enormous bed and lots of little extras that were really appreciated: biscuits and drinking water replenished each day. Plenty of choice for breakfast too. Overall a real gem and certainly recommended.
