Cranleigh

Had been here a week prior for lunch which was very nice indeed so decided to go for revisit and how very different our visit was. We were shown to our table by a very uninterested waitress. Had to ask for kids menu. We ordered our drinks and food to our surprise our food arrived before our drinks which didn’t arrive until we were almost finished with our food. We chased them up and after another 10 minutes arrived. I ordered a bottle beer and wasn’t given a glass… On the whole the food was mediocre at best and does not deserve the price tag that goes with it. On my previous visit I did have the steak pie which was very good hence the second visit and this time ordered a gamekeepers pie which wasn’t a pie at all. Menu was not described properly. The meal was lack luster and meat overcooked in a “pie”. I had high hopes for the festive meal but service fell very short and food missed the mark unlike our first time. Would give the benefit of the doubt but the service was very poor.

The Onslow seems to have two profiles. Just wanted to give a massive shout out to Tess, Josh and Jack for making our birthday celebrations fantastic. The Onslow always goes the extra mile, thank you!

Tess was very helpful. Every time my glass was empty she was more then happy to fill it again I think she was trying to get us drunk
