Minutes walk from the Abbey and Royal Baths, lovely hotel in a great location. Welcoming and friendly, a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Unfortunately, our recent stay was extremely disappointing and fell well below the standard I would expect from a Radisson property. The room was very small and, more seriously, was severely damp and mouldy with a strong, musty smell. This made the room feel unsuitable and unpleasant to stay in. There was also an issue with the air conditioning/power, which meant we were unable to keep the room cool while also having the lights off. As a result, the room became uncomfortably hot and our sleep was significantly disrupted. Soundproofing was virtually non-existent. We were woken at around 4:30am by seagulls and were unable to get back to sleep. For a hotel stay, particularly one where a good night’s sleep should be a basic expectation, this was extremely disappointing. Breakfast was another let-down. The food was cold, and after returning it to the staff, it was still cold when it came back. I am a Radisson Rewards VIP member and had expected a much higher standard of accommodation and service. While the hotel did ultimately offer some compensation following my complaint, the fact that these issues occurred in the first place was very disappointing. There were simply too many problems during the stay – the small room, damp and mould, strong musty odour, poor temperature control, lack of soundproofing and cold breakfast – to consider this a satisfactory experience. Unfortunately, based on this stay, I would not choose to return.

I chose a room one up from the base rate plus I'm a loyalty club member and so I was very disappointed to be put in the basement, my view was peoples feet walking by my window! That said the hotel was very attractive, the room was well appointed and the location perfect. Breakfast is served to order rather than the usual buffet style which is really nice, although an espresso option rather than a pot of coffee would be a nicer. The beds are queen size which is small compared to most other Radisson's I've stayed in.
