If you fear HUGE SPIDERS, don’t stay here! I entered my bathroom to find a HUGE WOLF SPIDER WITH 4” LEGS, and a big, thick body sitting on my bath mat. Further, I discovered that I had a large ITCHY BITE ON MY LEFT WRIST that wasn’t there when I went to bed the night before. The rooms are all aged.
When I had asked assistance with my baggage from a staff member at the time of my departure, he dropped my soap bag from the open-top bag on top of my suitcase; this led to my leaving it behind somewhere at the hotel. When I realized what had happened, I called the Manager, he promised to return the bag to me the next day at their sister hotel in Clevedon where I was staying. He told me that this would be possible as the hotel managers in their group meet their on Wednesdays. This he later denied saying, and I was strong-armed into being held responsible for either paying for a Courier, or for returning to the hotel from Clevedon to pick up the bag myself. This, even though it was an error by a Limpley Stoke employee who had caused the initial loss of my soap bag. I did write to Customer Liaison at Limpley Stoke and they were less than sympathetic, if helpful at all. Indeed, the tone of their communication was far from conciliatory; in response, I reminded Mr. Munn that his role is Customer Service. It is not to simply take only what he is told by staff at the hotel as his metre. A more balanced approach is to consider ALL THE FACTS, of which I was in most accurate supply.
I did drive back to Limpley Stoke to retrieve my belongings. It to me a total of two hours and twenty minutes travel time, plus the overall inconvenience. While the Service Staff at this hotel is wonderful, I would not recommend you staying there, as the Management ARE NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTATED.

Oh I loved our stay in this delightful hotel! It's a beautiful place, full of character. The staff were all fantastic. So friendly and welcoming, especially the gentleman on reception when we arrived. Incredible views over the valley from the outside seats. The corridors are aplenty and there are wonky floorboards but it all adds to the charm! Food was excellent each night. There was a wedding being held there and it looked like all the guests were getting looked after. We were on 2nd floor and couldn't hear any noise at all. Room 37 was large and bright and airy. Thank you all for giving us a wonderful family break! Loved it.

Nice hotel, quiet area with bus stops right outside of you aren’t willing to drive into Bath. The free parking was great.
Absolutely terrible wifi (reception there was terrible so couldn’t even use data) and the beds were rock hard.
