Sadly due to transport issues we were stranded in Bournemouth. After staying at a lovely hotel in central town for two nights we then booked here. We originally booked crystal beach hotel upon arrival there was a note on the door to say to check in next door ( Bourne hall hotel) when entering the hotel we noticed washing lines and airers in the windows ( permanent guests ). The lady that checked us in was friendly but seemed a little lost. The hotel itself self is very ran down and I wouldn’t wipe my finger in the wall. The room was very basic. (Third floor facing the road). The bed was terrible very crumbly and bitty. Cups were dirty. There were cigarette burns all on the window seal. The road was noisy all evening ( luckily I can sleep through). Permanent guests were very loud chattering and banging most of the night. I was looking out the window for a while and noticed a lot of what looked to be migrants coming in and out. Now I’m not opposed to this but I’d prefer to be made aware as a 29 year old woman with limited travel experience. The bottom line is I was uncomfortable and felt unsafe all night it’s not worth half the price I paid let alone the full sum of £88 ! There are positives though, friendly staff, lots of bath products and a short walk from the beach. Overall if I was a male on a buisness trip and this was cheaper I would stay at the back away from the road and on a seperate floor to permanent residents.

Disgraceful. Left stranded on the street and forced to pay for a new hotel. Do not trust Bourne Hall Hotel. I made a direct booking for a 3-night stay (Ref: 11250004005) and had a full email confirmation. Because I had bad experiences with other hotels recently, I went to the property at 9:00 AM on the day of check-in just to confirm my room was secure. The hotel was completely locked up and closed. I called the emergency mobile number on the door, and the staff explicitly told me they had NO reservation under my name. Because they told me my booking didn't exist, I was forced to find immediate alternative accommodation nearby at the last minute. I had to check into The Trouville Bournemouth just down the street, which cost me an extra £88.50 out of my own pocket. Only AFTER I caught them out did they send a WhatsApp message trying to cancel my booking, claiming an "unforeseen maintenance issue" and using the excuse that "no payment was taken." A non-refundable confirmation email is a legal contract. Leaving a guest stranded on the street and forcing them to scramble for a backup hotel next door is appalling management. I have sent a formal Letter Before Action and will be taking this to the Small Claims Court to recover my losses if they do not reimburse me. Avoid this place at all costs.

It's a 2 star hotel...The guy on. reception was very friendly and helpful,our room was lovely and warm with a great view of the sea,the d.i.y was a bit iffy,but not a problem...I would definitely stay again ,even if I did struggle with the code press to get in!!! TV was a bit dodgy lol!!
