Royal Bath

WARNING: rooms do not have windows and are advised as small bedrooms for 2, but only one can sleep in the bed. The staff is offensive and the whole place dodgy. My son has been literally insulted at front desk and we left, and booked nearby to a real luxury hotel. Booking.com did not cover for the prejudice and the hotel refused to refund us. Don’t go there! Even their swimming pool is £5 to tell you how ridiculous they are. I haven’t paid for a weekend in jail!

Went to Swanage for the day and stayed here on the way back. Booked a room with a view, it was one only the hottest nights during the heat wave. We had a balcony which was lovely and a wonderful view. A small fan was included. A bit dated the hotel but we liked it. Clean bathroom. I would just say we had a bed pushed together which was fine as plenty of room for my 6ft 8 husband but I would add a valance as the bottom of the bed is ugly. All in all we enjoyed our stay and we’ll be back. Room service option would be nice and maybe air conditioning an investment for the future.

Went there yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by the bar staff. I ordered food, to which they recommended a few options and were great with answering all my questions, and genuinely seemed like they cared for their customers. I spoke to Szymon in particular and he was very knowledgeable on the area, recommending best beach spots & local things to do. Although everyone was friendly, bar staff definitely made the trip!
