Western House

Lovely hotel and grounds. We stayed in a courtyard room, which was clean and roomy. The dinner and breakfast were both excellent. All of the staff were excellent. Special mention to Ryan, who was exceptionally attentive, friendly and efficient!

Our room surpassed our memories of the place when we stayed here yrs ago. Beautiful spacious room. The breakfast was good. The staff OUTSTANDING. Then you all for our lovely stay

Customer service non existent, came to the restaurant this morning 1st August , made a telephone booking for brunch at 10.30 , this booking was made on the quality of two excellent previous visits where the service and the meet and greet was perfect . Our booking made , I brought three guests to try the delicious brunch menu , on arrival at the jockey club restaurant we were greeted by an Indian lady whose English wasn’t that great and told breakfast wasn’t finished and we would need to come back in 15 mins , I explained we had booked for 10-30 and it was 10-30 , I asked if there was somewhere else we could dine within the hotel , we were shepherded to reception , we ordered tea , coffee and juice and given menus by the bar staff , we then placed our order a reasonable £70 worth , one of my guests asked as breakfast was still ongoing could they have a breakfast , the others ordered from the brunch menu , we were then informed we couldn’t have breakfast as they didn’t know how to charge us for it , I explained the irony of this but there was no budging , I asked for the bill for the drinks which was £17 , cancelled our food order then went to Gro in Ayr and spent £75 on an excellent breakfast , Today you let yourselves seriously down for a supposed up market venue , the customer wasn’t king on this particular visit .
