Rhins of Galloway

This was my second stay here in the Garden Suite. In the first stay, I found the duvet cover hadn’t been changed from the previous guest and the fridge was off and had mould in it. I gave them another chance. My second stay, the fridge was on and fine but exactly the same thing with the bedding!! It was dirty and full of hairs from the previous guest. Totally unacceptable. They did change it to clean bedding straight away but what is going on here? The suite is very nice and comfortable. The bathroom is large and well equipped. There’s a tv near the bath so I decided to take advantage and run a bath. Sadly, no remote to be seen! Waste of time. The 2 complimentary water bottles were nice but we left the 2 complimentary cans of Pepsi as they weren’t sugar free. Less complimentary snacks than our previous stay a few months ago. 2 packs of biscuits and the tea bags were from a large pack, unmarked and not in container. Good job I brought my own. I won’t return.

The room we were in was quite big and reasonably clean and comfortable. Handy for the ferry if you are just looking for an overnight stop. However, the staff are a little less than welcoming, and be aware that there is no chance of getting breakfast here, although there is a dining room - it is closed. Even if your reservation confirmation states that they do breakfast, they don't. Also the shower in our room was so clogged with limescale that it sprayed the water everywhere except where you wanted it to, and be careful of the shower in the bath as it has no safety rails.

We stayed in the Gloucester Suite and were very impressed with it especially for the price we paid £70! We appreciated the complimentary snacks that had been left out for our arrival. Check in was easy, plenty parking and handy for the Belfast Ferry. There is info on local taxi firms etc at the check in desk. Would stay again and also recommend to others.
