Casa Hotel

From the outside the Casa Hotel certainly looks the part, with striking exterior design and a car park like a multiplex cinema. Entering the cavernous reception you are greeted by friendly reception staff who are also efficient and quick. To your right is the bar and to your left the stairs to the restaurant. Now a few bullet points: Pros: - Really great food and service any time of day. - Super, friendly, efficient staff in all departments. - Quick to rectify mistakes and faults. - Rooms are well sound insulated. - Very comfortable (huge) bed (Deluxe room). Cons: - Can get very busy in the evenings, which make both bar and restaurant impossible for quiet conversation. - Very poor acoustics, especially in the bar (see above). Built in 2010, the Casa is in need of refurbishment, with signs of years of heavy use everywhere. Our room had a shabby bathroom and a wardrobe door that wouldn't shut. Attention to detail. On arrival our room had dust on all surfaces, broken aircon controls with an unstoppable fan running at full speed. Coffee pods but no coffee machine(!) All of these faults were fixed very quickly and with a smile, but the room should have been checked before we arrived. - Smart TV. A bewildering array of smart channels, but they all can only be accessed by linking your own subscriptions through your phone. (This is not recommended, as it could easily lead to your data being compromised). - Expensive The Casa is pretty expensive, so be prepared to pay for the relative luxury it affords. - Conclusions The Casa is a good (but not great) luxury hotel, in need of updating and refurbishment. Not a place for quiet reflection - better for a party. Personally I would not recommend. Three stars.

Stayed for our wedding anniversary. Great room and the food was superb. It’s not cheap at the Casa but you get what you pay for here!

Unfortunately we had a dirty room (chewing gum on floor) and there was no shower gel. We also had an issue with loud music and people in the corridor. We get that it was Saturday evening and there was a function, but we were placed directly above it. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all based on this experience.
