Grosvenor House Sheffield

I attended an evening event at this hotel, the venue is excellent the facilities are very good but not so sure about the waiting staff. Considering the cost of the venue you would expect exceptional service albeit the service was good the staff were quite surly. I had to look for the staff to order our drinks.

Used to be the best hotel in Sheffield but once redevelopment of the area was announced no money was invested and it became shabby but suitable for cheap city centre breaks. It is now closed and due for demolition which is a shame because it had a lot going for it - great views, city centre location, large rooms.

When we stayed at this hotel it seemed under staffed, however, they were friendly and polite. The rooms were in serious need of redecoration as the wallpaper in our room was falling off the wall. The hotel was cold and restaurant services limited.
