Lovely staff, great customer service, rooms very clean and tidy.

If anything our stay was even better than our visit last year. All the staff we encountered were very helpful, professional and kind, the rooms are quiet with very comfortable beds and much better than might be expected from a ‘budget’ hotel. Sparkling clean throughout and free parking right outside. The ‘bottomless breakfast’ is excellent and, the hotel being dog friendly they even offered andboxed one up for our cockapoo! Despite being immediately off an M6 junction there is no motorway noise. This hotel is now always our default option when visiting the north!

We came home from 12 days travelling in France with no problems or fines until we received one in the post from the Holiday Inn at Stafford before our journey began! We checked in and were not told anything about the car park so we arrived at 5pm and left at 5.30 am which was half an hour more than you are allowed therefore we got charged £60. If the receptionist had made it clear about the car park then we would have either paid for extra time or left within the 24 hours. The hotel needs to be more informative at check in.
