Royal Hotel, Bridge of Allan

i cam back to the hotel with two colleagues who where staying at the hotel because we were all attending a training day in Stirling. We arrived back around 11, where the bar staff member said "this is your first and last", I was shocked and asked if he was "angry" but her repeated the same line in an aggressive way. MY colleague, who had PAID to stay the night, asked what was up but the bar member ordered this was our last drink or he would "pour it down thee sink"....we let him....the 3 of us cancelled our drinks order and all agreed never too book there again. Awful service, ---I've NEVER been spoken to in such a manner in a hotel in which either myself, or a close friend, is staying! Terrible customer service - look elsewhere!

From the entrance through to the bedrooms the building was showing signs of wear although everything was clean. Staff were welcoming and friendly, breakfast was fresh but with a minimal range on offer. The location was pleasant and would have been nice to wander around if I had stayed longer. For the price per night it was good value but wouldn't rush back.

We had gone for a meeting and booked one night stay before returning to England. The room was averagely size, two beds joined to make a larger double so bed was not very comfy, we could smell dust in the room. The bathroom is so very basic and the bathtub had not been cleaned from previous use, |I actually thought it was scarring from it being old until in the morning when I run the bath and saw the dirt lifting off from the bottom, it was disgusting. One of the wall plugs was hanging, so we couldn't use it to charge the phone. My husband actually had the back end of the black pudding on his breakfast plate, so he couldn't eat it.
