Toll House

Absolutely superb bed and breakfast. It was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. The bed was comfy and extra pillow provided. It was close to the high street with a walk of about 10 minutes. Tea coffee and biscuits were provided. There was no traffic noise or people noise in fact it was extremely quiet after 9pm! Breakfast was superb and the hosts were welcoming and very friendly. We can highly recommend The Toll house and would definitely stay there again.

My third time here, and ut was as good as ever - spacious bedrooms, nice hot showers and a very warm welcome. It's a few minutes walk out of the town centre, but that means it's very quiet, and very well placed for walks to Thorpeness, the Red House and along the Alde. Would definitely recommend, and will be going back

A lovely weekend had in Aldeburgh. The Toll House was convenient, welcoming and well priced. It’s on a roundabout (10 mins walk from the sea front) with Tesco and the Coop very close, but none of that was in any way intrusive. We were overlooking the roundabout, but weren’t at all disturbed by any noise. Parking is tight for larger cars, but on site. The room was smallish but adequate, with fresh, crisp decor. No wardrobe, but hanging space enough for three nights. TV, kettle, mugs etc and Wi-Fi. The shower room was very small, but again adequate and clean, with shower cubicle, wc and washbasin (with mirror, light and shaver point). Breakfast was relaxed and wholesome, with a selection of cereals, juices and hot drinks, plus the usual choice of hot food as well, cooked as required, not sitting on a buffet bar. I hate to leave reviews without some (usually very picky!) constructive criticism or suggestions so - 1. Nowhere to stand toiletries in the shower room or in the shower itself (although on-wall soap, conditioner etc dispensers are provided anyway). 2. Would benefit from a towel rail right outside the shower cubicle for ease of reach. 3. No coat hook inside the room door to put coats if wet. Given these are all very minor and personal thoughts, they are suggestions not complaints. So, all-in-all, a place to be highly recommended - hope to be back in due course.
