Fox & Hounds

Llancarfan is a pretty village truly blessed having this very special inn at its heart. It is our favourite place to lunch, dine, drink and stay in the Vale of Glamorgan. You can be assured of a genuine, warm welcome , friendly and professional service and superb cooking from its kitchen. The menu is small but carefully composed of pub classics with a modern twist. There are also some specials on the board - all perfectly cooked and artistically presented. The Bar is inviting in Winter and our preferred place to eat with a roaring fire but in the Summer, the new terrace alongside a little brook is enchanting with comfortable chairs and a view of the ancient church which is well worth a visit to see some remarkable medieval frescoes. The Fox & Hounds is our perfect happy place and I hope you will think so too.

I stayed two nights at the Fox and Hounds and it was so warm and hospitable, an absolute delight! The staff were charming and no request was too much for them. I can highly recommend the pizzas which were delicious and the side salad was fresh and beautifully presented. Breakfast was great too!

A lovely old building that dates back a few hundred years. Warm welcome with a log fire burning brightly This time we visited we had a Christmas lunch, my what a wonderful surprise . There was so much on the plate that I needed to bring some home to finish it off the next day. Very Tasty, and very enjoyable Turkey lunch and finished off with Christmas Pudding. Excellent
