The hotel was inexpensive and in my head I think you get what you pay for. However the premier inn is also just as inexpensive (if not more so) and far nicer (it was sold out). The carpets are all rucked up in the rooms and hallways. The beds you can feel the springs in the mattress. The aircon didn’t work (not great in a heat wave). Pubes on the floor in the bathroom and general dust dirt in all the corners of the room. We arrived an 1.5 hours early. Went to the desk to ask if room ready would it be possible to check in….yes room ready- that’ll be £20 though (no thank you). The location is good, didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. Wouldn’t recommend but if it’s in your budget and only place available then I’m sure there are worse options.

I came to the dragon hotel on a business trip. Positives Friendly staff Great location, everything is within walking distance Room was clean. Negatives Hotel is very dated and run down in places Lifts are very small and only one was working Cooked breakfast was awful, cheap ingredients and coffee machine wasn't working.

We stayed for one night. We were scheduled to go out for the evening so time was limited. If that hadn't been the case we would have complained about our room and requested a move. Allocated a family room on second floor (for a couple). carpet very stained and uneven.air conditioning not working.shower not fully functional. Toilet roll holder situated so far away from the toilet it was impossible to reach. Overall the room and corridors seem very dated. We paid for breakfast which was of a good standard and in a light and airy room
