Castle Hotel

Basic hotel that needs to refurb their rooms. Communal areas were nice but the hotel lets itself down with the awful rooms. Bed sheets fresh but stained. Flooring uneven and coming away from skirting boards. Bedside table without a drawer. Shower was filthy. Clothing left from previous occupants still in the cupboard! Breakfast was only continental which was not clear upon booking. Basic breakfast with defrosted croissants. Food stops being served at 6pm in the evening, too early in my opinion. The only thing good about this hotel is the location. Staff were friendly.

Stayed 3 nights breakfast was the worst i ever had bland is not the word for it had to askfor clean towels room cleaned once in the stay cups and glasses not cleaned at all in the 3 nights it was bad we stayed there 2 years ago and the difference was unreal its really a huge change

A big thank you to all the staff, especially Shirley for a very pleasant Sunday lunch. The food was ample and cooked beautifully. Faultless service and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended. Will be returning very soon .
