The Green Man Pub

Lovely trafional pub. Stayed in accommodation for 2 nights. Lovely clean room. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious pub food.

My brother booked and paid for me to stay at this pub for the night of 11th July. Whilst visiting family who lived nearby my brother received a text message to say that the accommodation had been cancelled. He immediately phoned The Green Man and was told that I should go there as they had a room available. When arrived at the pub we were told that someone with the same name had just checked into the room. The chances of someone with the same name (my brothers name is not that common) checking in minutes before we arrived did not ring true. They are refusing to refund the £70 paid and also refusing to give any evidence that my brother cancelled it. I would advise people to avoid this place.

The food was amazing. But I'm sad to say the room wasn't the best. Carpet hadn't been cleaned I think since last yr when we went, cobwebs and dead flies in bedroom and bathroom so couldn't have a shower. Though they said last yr they were really doing bedrooms but looks like nothing has changed the carpet to the rooms should be blue but it's dirty and black 😔 was such a shame was so looking forward to seeing the rooms done
