My company I worked for booked a night for me as I was working away from home. (Done me dirty)
My room had what only can be described as dried puke on the floor. The bathroom floor was completely broken couldn’t stand on it without it cracking.
The heating was on but my window was broken.
My toilet seat was falling off.
There was holes in the wall plugged with tissue.
My pillow had a tumour.
I had a full English for breakfast but the beans was colder than a penguins foot. The bread would have done a better job filling the holes in the wall.
There was one member of staff in the hotel working the reception/ bar/ and everything in between. She was very friendly and polite but let down by poor amenities.
Wouldn’t stay again even if I was dead.

We stayed at the hotel as most of the hotels around Birmingham NEC were occupied and needed a place to stay .First experience it looks like a rundown place.external look as a first impression was unacceptable. We then went inside no air freshener in the corridor. We were not informed about the change of management and the hotel is going through refurbishment. The room allocated to us was on the first floor with no telephone in the room also no fire escape plan on the door bathroom door was hanging on angle no bathroom exhaust system, bathroom windows were broken cracked and some handles were broken and also mould on the corner of bathtub. Wallpaper pealing off the wall only one thing good was bed was made with fresh towels.bathroom was mouldy .no telephone in the room .Cracked flooring, bed also was sinking in the middle , cobwebs all around hanging from cleaning.Worn out carpet .Well there was TV but not antenna 📡.the room looked like not dusted for ages and was locked for ages.definately not worth for money.
About the breakfast- we were served a plated full English breakfast.hashbrown were smelly and soggy looked like reheated and refried .The croissants were smelly and oily and smelling like metal tray smell.Baked Beans were tasting margarine, burnt filter coffee .only good was milk a bit cold.glasses for juices were sticky at the bottom.youghurts were not in ice bed so were of room temperature 🌡️.Only toast and butter was good to eat.baccon was cooked well that was the only breakfast item worth eating.Staff arguing in the middle of the restaurant.

The hotel is in transition from owners, ok.but it is in a shabby state. The room was clean,as was the bathroom. We stayed for 2 nights, and I was surprised that no one attended the room after the first night to clean ,make the bed,or at least replenish the drinks tray.
Breakfast is where it's let down the most. The guy who was staffing this was not doing a great job.The coffee machine was leaking all over the table and floor, and we had to tell him.We were there a good hour and there was no coffee ready in that time. The milk had run out, and the hot breakfast items were also empty most of the time. There is no orange juice, only orange squash ( that's poor)
We did not bother with breakfast on the second morning.
