BEST WESTERN HILCROFT HOTEL

Myself and my husband and some friends went to a birthday party at this hotel, we all stayed overnight. It was an amazing time/stay from start to finish, I had called the reception staff a couple of times on the phone with various questions prior to our stay here, the staff were super helpful. The reception staff on arrival were very welcoming and very helpful to allocate our room, the room itself was spotlessly clean, with tea making facilities and even a fridge in the room which was an added bonus. It was such a lovely venue for the party which was held in the function room to the rear, the organisation and the staff couldn't have been any better. Had a lovely night's sleep. The breakfast was really nice, had the full scottish and it didn't disappoint, and again the staff were very attentive with everything. Would definitely go back even to use the restaurant for lunch, we had pizza and fries in the afternoon which was really nice, and considering it was so busy with party guests and other customers, we didn't wait long for the food and drinks were served promptly. Keep up the good work!!

Me & My Girlfriend, My Mate & His Girlfriend stayed at the Hotel Saturday night / Sunday morning (1st / 2nd August) . We arrived late as we had not long landed at Edinburgh Airport after a Holiday in Turkey . As soon as we checked in Maria on reception and Jason (sorry if names are wrong ) couldn’t have been more welcoming. We were peckish and asked if there was a vending machine. Maria walked off and came back with four pies and said “I hope these help” . Then when I went back down to reception to ask for more biscuits, Jason found me some and some bags of crisps too . The breakfasts were made to order and not the usual stodgy stuff piled up in trays . And once again all the staff were friendly & polite . I work up and down the country and have stayed in plenty of different hotels , this hotel restored some faith in the hospitality sector . Staff were a credit to the owner . P.s we found the rooms clean & tidy and the beds comfy too !!

Room ok. Evening food good. However their literature stating breakfast until 10.00 is inaccurate. Arrived at 9.05 to be told breakfast had finished. Despite being only 5 minutes past their shut off time and being shown that they are advertising breakfast til 10.00 was offered what was left of continental options only. In response to complaint I was told “ ok, I’ll tell them”
