BEWARE!!! THEFT!!!! Absolutely shocking. This hotel has stolen money from my bank account. Checked in online and made payment for 2 rooms at £84. Then stayed overnight in the hotel, the least said about that the better. Following day, they took 3 extra payments of £42 from my account totalling £126 overcharge. Have sent many emails both direct and through booking.com but they are ignoring me. So not only have they stolen from my account, they also have zero customer service. Going to have to go through my bank to get money back. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE.

The best thing about this hotel is the very nice handyman, probably in his 20s or early 30s, who unlocked me out the broken down lift and showed us where the service lift was. He's a good fella, very cheery. I hope he gets all the promotions and blessings. Getting stuck in the lift on the 7th floor was a low point. If anyone has seen the backrooms, the hotel is a bit like that. The walls look AI generated. If it doesn't have a mirror on it, it has a panel cut out which is clearly a door, but made to blend into the wall. Room was fine, clean sheets and comfy enough. Although the shower stand may need looking at in room 716, its kind of hanging out the wall with just a screw. The person on my floor who was playing the violin at 9:30pm really set the ambiance even creepier. Wasn't expecting the world, but it wasn't great. The location is really good though, you can't beat that!

I didn’t even make it one night after booking two nights for a work conference. From the moment we got there we realised it was down an alleyway so had to play dodge the drug addict to get to a very stiff revolving door. We get in and there’s one member of staff on the counter. Barely says anything but just says to sign some paper and then gives us two room keys. We get through the first door to the lifts and wait what felt like 6 and a half months for it to arrive. Whilst enjoying the carefully selected air freshener choice from Glades new range “essence de fag butts” we get to our room after playing probably the worst game of Pac-Man to find our room to find out the door doesn’t work. Back down we go and you guessed it 6 months for the one lift. “There’s a problem with that door it keeps not opening” says the socially awkward hotel receptionist. Gives us another room. I call the lift and this time it was pretty quick! My luck is changing! Boy did that high crash down on me. I inserted my coins and hit play and found my room in a flat out 15 minutes. We get in. 1 pillow each and a complimentary hair on the bed. Not from the head I must add. We drop our things and head out to dinner. We battle the stench of weed and fags and wait another 3 working days for the lift. (There’s two lifts but I’m pretty sure the second one is there for looks) eat dinner and head back to our room. Tried to have a shower. NO HOT WATER. I report this to reception and they said “I don’t know what’s happening, I can move you rooms if you like?” I packed my things and left. Managed 3 hours and it felt like most of it I spent sniffing the aromas and waiting for the lift. Mold all over the stairwells and the lift itself stunk! Please whatever you do, never stay here! Premier inn is 2 seconds up the road and BOTH LIFTS WORK!
