Staybridge Suites Hotel

Arrived on Friday but was bit early to check in so helped ourself to a coffee whilst we waited. Check in was quick and easy with great staff on reception. We did have a couple of issues like air con not working, but we were moved to a room with working air con. Had couple of other little issues but they were resolved straight away. Staybridge suites are in excellent location. Breakfast is self service and there are lots of things to choose from, lovely food and we had great breakfasts for our 3 night stay. Help yourself to tea/coffee from the dining room. I love the fact you have full size fridge, micro, dishwasher etc in room so if you want to make good in room you can. All the staff we met were very approachable and very welcoming.

The whole experience @ this Apartment hotel was Amazing.It started with being met by Kirt one the receptionists ,he was so helpful & knowledgable.Advising us on where to eat ,giving us a map to show where the Best restaurants were.We picked Pasture such a good choice. He also advised us we could help ourselves to some reading matter from the large selection of magasines.There is also complimentary Coffee in the Hub with a very clean lounge area. When we got to the suite we were amazed how big it was,the cleanliness was outstanding too. We didn't need to cook but it was fully equipped where you would be able to produce some decent meals . We had breakfast included & again the kitchen staff were so helpful over the 3 days we stayed. Including Anna, Nicole, Sharon &Dilvia. The food was delicious& plentiful. On our2nd dayTerry was on duty, again he was so helpful advising us on how to get to the cricket event we were in the city for. On our leaving Day as we were staying late Rahul helped us store our luggage in their safe room . We can thoroughly recommend this place, we will definately stay there again when next in Birmingham . We want to thank all the staff we met for their professinalism with a friendly attitude.

It started well but I would ideally have given a 7 out of 10. The good things were - the reception staff who were efficient and friendly - the suite which was spacious and well equipped - the value for money for my 2 night stay. Breakfast was 100% self service and the breakfast experience felt very down market. However, the food provided was all good (not the coffee). I stayed for Friday night and Saturday night but my room was not serviced on the Saturday. There wasn't a lot that needed doing but I would have liked it to be done. I was out all day returning after 8:00 p.m. which was a bit late to bother complaining. It is probably in the nature of the type of establishment but it felt soulless.
