The St Johns Hotel

Good location, within walking distance of everything you need e.g shops, theatre, bars, restaurants. Easy check-in, clean room & bathroom, comfortable bed with lovely clean bed linen. Decor is nice & modern. One snag, member of staff knocked on the door at 10:00am to ask what time we were leaving, we knew that check out is at 11:00am, so that was a bit annoying but everything else was good & would return.

Nothing changed since my last visit. No mini bar in the room, and they say that it's because the are a sustainable brand. Most other VOCO hotels have mini bars. The super king was two twins pushed together which is fine however the topper should be much better quality so I cannot feel the join during the night. Breakfast was average, hard croissants which were not tempting.

Very disappointing visit , our AC didn’t work for 2 nights and we couldn’t get anyone to fix ( apparently no joy on Sundays as know one knows what to do) Floors were not cleaned , we had same bits on carpet daily, it appeared all that happens if your staying more than one night ( we were 4) is you just get clean towels and that’s it nothing else moved, hoovered cleaned etc . considering prices would have expected better. We paid to upgrade to a superior room , we shouldn’t have bothered as no walk in shower as expected and noise from bar ( we were over ) every night as people spilled out at night.
