Travelodge Birmingham Maypole

A special acknowledgment for staff Kal and Cole who were superb with me during my stay. They were incredibly helpful and welcoming. My dinner service was prompt and perfect with a great quality of food.

A nice, affordable hotel with plenty amenities and in great location. Rooms are adequate and plentiful. Big shout out to Cal, who not only adds to a friendly atmosphere, but is ever so caring and lovely. She was a great help checking in, very polite, and evidently a hard worker. Thank you to all staff for making this a comfortable stay.

On Monday, there was one issue after another. The fire alarm went off numerous times in a single day and everyone came downstairs. A man who said he was the acting manager of the hotel told us there was a fire in the building and was yelling at everyone to get out, which caused immense panic in all the guests staying there. We were taken to the back of the car park and were just left. No staff member there with us to tell us what had actually happened, if it was safe or not, nothing. We were just left for a good 20 minutes until another member of the team actually came out with actual information and calmed the situation down. That was a saving grace as the way things were handled by the young man were far from professional.
