Marston Farm

I have just been for avternoon tea with a friend, it was an 'experience' in many ways. Looks nothing like the photos. I had read the reviews before hand but it was already booked so thought give it s go. Got there, no one on receptio , a mobile number to call whivh was invorrect as there was a number misdinb. Called main number just told by voice to call back later. No staff afounf so tried yo find the restaurant. Followed the signs but ended up back where we started. I am disabled and use a walking stick this place is not disabled friendly too many steps and uneven surfaces. We ended up being shown to the restaurant by one of the workmen working there he even helped me up the steps so thankyou Mr Workman. Luckily the afternoon tea was ok nothing special but better than anticipated from previous reviews. My friend being able bodied went to the toilet but said I would not manage the stairs. We specifically asked then if there was an accessible toilet and were told it was by reception. When we got there it was not an accessible toilet just a ladies room so I was unable to go. On the way out there was finally someone on reception, my friend mentioned the accessible toilet to be told she should have asked about it as they use one of the rooms for disabled for the toilet. She explained that was what she asked for. We got a garbled apology anf left. This hotel in my opinion is not at all disabled friendly, is very run down and is nothing like the photos on the website. I will be contacting Red Letter Days recommending they remove this from their list of experiences. Never again!

We went for afternoon tea the food wasn’t great. The scones were that hard we struggled to cut them with a knife. We booked with buy a gift which stated it included a bottle of Prosecco to share. They gave us two small bottles. I asked to see the manager and she couldn’t be bothered to come and see us and sent another member of staff. 15 minutes later she walked through the restaurant!

When I saw in details of place , a four star hotel in farm , sounded like a nice quite place , There was loud music blasting even after midnight , very tiny rooms , stairs are dangerously, much less than a feet . Have to put foot sideways . Staff there were very rude , when I ask last night about music , even worse this morning , all I wanted to know , if there is cancellation ( I have cancellation information from booking . Com
