We stayed at New Hall to enable us to visit gardens in the Birmingham/ Stoke area. We were in the old house in a super room, but of course this meant no air conditioning on one of the hottest weekends. The staff were excellent and attentive, food and wine offerings were decent, with a good selection. Interesting house wine from one of their own vineyards. Lovely gardens. Great breakfast, would certainly recommend.

Nice location poor service on terrace and restaurant. We sat outside on the terrace, we had to wait a long time, before your order is taken, then wait a long time before it is served. Food not special. I had the salad with beetroot, pouring cheese and rocket. This came without dressing. Just tossed a bag of lettuce on a plate. When I asked if it was normal or there was no dressing on it she would ask the chef. No more word. Asked again at checkout what the chef said, but waitress indicated she had been too busy to ask. However, I did not see them working on the terrace. All the tables around us were no longer guests, but everywhere were the dirty glasses and plates. Sometimes they would take a few glasses and then they would just leave the rest and come and clean it up an hour later. Also when ordering dessert, our plates of the main course were not removed, this only happened when bringing dessert. There is also no ask if you want another drink, you have to walk in for that because you hardly see waitresses. Tables not clean either. In short quality food not special and too expensive for what you get and never experienced such bad service in a 4* hotel. Reception staff are very helpful though.

Absolutely incredible service. Attended there to get my wife a voucher for her birthday. Very well greeted by Karen on reception who guided me in the right direction to the spa where I was warmly welcomed by immie who couldn't of done enough. Helped me with absolutely everything both Karen and immie and took time to really detail my wife's future visit. Incredible!!
