Located right next to a village hotel, this I guess is the budget option for its location. Well presented public areas, looks relatively newly renovated (or built?). Fantastic food in the restaurant, we were offered a selected of meals as part of a tour group and it was all excellent quality. Whoever made that lasagne deserves a pat on the back - it was delicious. There was some kerfuffle in the bar on arrival, a drunk guest which they appeared to be continuing to serve who turned nasty…he was forcibly removed with the police called. Room is comfortable and modern, one step up from a typical Travelodge however still with a very small tv which is difficult to see from the bed. One point to note and why I have withheld stars - there’s a smell in the room that I couldn’t pinpoint until I realised the carpet is wet down the side of the bed… I don’t want to sit thinking why this is but I am fairly certain that someone has thrown up all over the floor and they have attempted to clean it. Perhaps next time don’t let the room out until the carpet is dry and the smell has been dealt with.
