Very disappointed. Badly stained carpet and other cleanliness issues in the room. After carefully looking for somewhere to stay and reading the reviews I was looking forward to staying but was left feeling very disappointed and won’t be going back to stay again.

We were only in Portsmouth for a short time, mainly because of the roadworks along the way. The room is therefore only used for sleeping and showering. Spacious, cozy and neat room with a very nice rain shower in the bathroom. Only downside was the lack of a hairdryer, which was probably brought by the previous guests. Sorry that the hotel was fully booked and there was no reserve in stock. In the evening delicious eaten in their restaurant across the street and also enjoyed their extensive breakfast in the morning. For parking our car we had chosen the slightly more expensive solution: 15 pounds for a private spot behind the fence in the street next door (half a minute walk). We have not seen enough of Portsmouth itself.

Lovely hotel although a bit tired in places. We stayed in a superior twin room, No. 8. The curtains were missing and the track was still mounted on the wall. The shower tray was very slippery when wet, this could cause someone to slip and hurt themselves. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was ok, quickly ran out when multiple people arrived. Quite noisy at night with banging doors and footsteps above. Close to the beach and pier.
