Alhambra Hotel

Myself and a friend stayed for two nights during a heatwave in early-July. Our room was in 22 Argyle Street - across the street from Reception (19 Argyle Street). Confusingly 20 Argyle Street is also part of the same hotel! Pros: -Helpful and friendly staff. -Free WiFi. -Reception Desk & small Lobby - we arrived at 10:30am and were allowed to leave our suitcases - free of charge - with Reception. A member of staff put our suitcases in our room, a nice touch. We left our suitcases after checkout in the Luggage Room on our last day as we had a late train. Lobby sells snacks, drinks, postcards, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shaving razors. -Room 24 two single beds. Key entry to building and key fob access to room. Small room. Telephone (old, not working) - use WhatsApp to contact Reception. Mirror. QR Code for WiFi. Small bin. Chair & desk plus kettle with tea/coffee making facilities. Suitcase stand. Cupboard with hanging space, two drawers, desk fan, electronic safe. Wall-mounted hairdryer. Wall-mounted Samsung smart TV (Freeview channels, YouTube app). Two beds with a bedside table (2 electric sockets & USB ports), lamp, Holy Bible. Views of surrounding buildings and schoolyard. En-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet, basin, small bin. Cons: -No lift. -Room - rate did not include breakfast. -Room - no air-con, although there’s a desk fan available and the sash window slides open. We also picked up an additional desk fan from the Reception Desk. -Room - no fridge. -Room - servicing the room is an additional charge. -Checkout 11am, but we extended to midday. Notes: -Breakfast - we took bowls & spoons and cereals and bought breakfast items (milk, orange juice, yoghurt, fruit) from M&S Simply Food and Tesco Express 0.2 miles away. -St Pancras International and King’s Cross stations are a 5 minute walk away. Euston Station is a 15 minute walk. -Also within walking of the hotel are sites including Platform 9¾ & Harry Potter shop (King’s Cross railway station), the British Library, the Wellcome Collection, and Regent’s Canal.

Hotel was ok, close to the Pancras station, the room was a one person room, very small but doable. The bathroom was very small, so not having claustrofobya 😛 i slept well. Points to inprove: install airvco and maybe a small fridge

Bruno, Syed, and Sonia were so kind and helpful on my recent stay at the Alhambra. The location couldn't be more convenient for getting around, including onward travel from London, and there is so much to see and do within walking distance. Highly recommend!
