Best Western Mornington Hotel

A very comfortable stay. The bedroom was quiet and spacious- and breakfast was excellent. My only criticism relates to the reception staff. They seemed a bit dozy.. no welcome greeting when I checked in , and in the morning the newspapers delivered to the hotel lay wrapped up outside the front door untouched . Nobody took them in until when I saw they were still there at 10.45am (!) ,I brought them and handed them to reception..

The hotel is very centrally located, near a Hyde Park. We stayed for one night, during a heat wave, so were looking forward to an air conditioned room. When we first arrived, the a/c was working, but at some point later in the evening, it stopped working. It was only blowing warm air and the controls were useless. I called the front desk and they said they would adjust it. The room never cooled down and it was very difficult to sleep. I called again in the morning and then they said there was a fault and they could provide a fan. I chose this hotel because I knew it would be very hot and air conditioning was a necessity. After we left, I emailed the front desk manager to complain, but he has yet to respond. Very disappointed! And HOT.
