I recently had a two night stay at this hotel with my daughter. I wouldn't hesitate to book here again next time I visit London. It is perfectly situated, moments away from Earl's Court station but tucked down a quiet but elegant side street. The hotel is spotless, staff very helpful and polite and the room we had was more than adequate for our needs. I want to make a special mention of the beds, because mine was the most comfortable I have ever had in a hotel. The breakfast was more than I expected, with a choice of continental or cooked. Both, if you want! All in all, no complaints at all, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to be back in the future.

I chose this hotel because air conditioning was advertised, so it was disappointing to arrive and find that the AC in my room was not working. I reported the issue immediately and was assured it would be fixed that evening, but unfortunately it wasn't, resulting in an uncomfortable first night. After reading other guest reviews, I discovered that AC problems had been mentioned before, which left me questioning whether my concerns were taken as seriously as they should have been. To the hotel's credit, the staff were polite and made efforts to improve the situation, including offering a complimentary breakfast, a late check-out, and a room swap for my second night. The replacement room was much more comfortable, and my experience improved considerably. However, I was disappointed by the conflicting information regarding compensation. I was initially given the impression by the night receptionist that the first night's stay would be fully refunded due to the lack of the advertised facility, but this later changed to an offer of 50% of the first night's room rate by the manager. The inconsistent communication created confusion and left me feeling that expectations had not been managed clearly. Even after escalating the matter to the Operations Director, the issue was not resolved to my satisfaction. Overall, while I appreciated the staff's courtesy and the improved second night, the absence of the advertised air conditioning and the mixed messages regarding compensation significantly detracted from my stay.

- Location: very close to the metro with good connections, plus supermarket, restaurants and pubs nearby. - Breakfast: delicious and a great start to the day (arrive early — it gets busy). Not liked - Bathroom is very small; washing your face can leave your feet wet. Shower is small but functional for an average person. - Faily clean; Two of four pillowcases smelled strange; we had the sheets changed but the replacement had a similar faint smell — possibly a scent we didn’t like. - There is no noise perturbing the sleep; maybe only the cleaning personall when doing their work
