We went for a late Sunday lunch to celebrate 2 family birthdays. The setting is lovely but the food was awful. We all had a Sunday roast and I’ve never had such a bad one. When the meals came they were cold (not a hint of warmth) so we sent them back. They must have just been bunged in the microwave as although they were warm (but not hot) but the meat (beef) was wrecked - really tough and tasteless. The awful roasts were nearly £25 per person - a total waste of money.

Beautiful setting, but no warm welcome. Second visit, wouldn’t go again. I have had 40 successful years in the trade, they have a lot to learn, with the potential here.

Went for my husband bday which I add when booked . Never been before but thought looked good in the pictures from friends . Stand at the entrance for ever until someone acknowledged us . Great views of the lake but food very average. Wine expensive. Very expensive diner for below average food . Would return for a drink for the view but not to eat unless new chef and new menu .! Could be great place with a good menu / quality food . Real shame. Expected a lot better .
