ibis budget Leeds Centre Crown Point Road

Nice clean and tidy room, smelt really good. Online check-in so took 2mins to get key card upon arrival. A great price for my needs.

I've stayed in Ibis hotels before, so I thought I would give the Ibis Budget in Leeds a try. I ended up staying longer than expected, not wanting to change hotels. The staff are so welcoming and kind. I encountered Samir, Georgia (night staff), Halder and Filip (morning staff) and they always had a smile and a kind word for me. Nothing was too much trouble, even allowing me the same room when I had to rebook. I had a room on the 8th floor (811). It was light and airy and well-maintained with a good power shower. The bed was very comfortable. There was noise from traffic going by if the window was left open, but the soundproofing when the window was brilliant. The best thing about the room was the view. On one side looking up towards Leeds Minster and the other towards the Kirkgate Markets and the bus station. I had breakfast each morning during my stay. There was a choice of cereals, yoghurt, toast (white or brown bread), different spreads (Nutella, honey, jam) fruit, croissants, pains au chocolat, cheese and cold ham. At the weekend, hash browns, beans and scrambled egg were also provided. The hot drinks machine was very entertaining. Not only did it produce delicious drinks, on a certain setting it would play music - never seen that before. This Ibis Budget hotel is very convenient for the Royal Armouries (7 mins walk) and the city centre (10 mins). The bus station is about 5 minutes walk away and the railway station 15 minutes. I really enjoyed my stay at this Ibis hotel and would visit again if staying in Leeds.

The staff are all excellent and very friendly and accommodating, no issues there whatsoever. The rooms are all very clean and tidy and with this hotel being literally around the corner from the Royal Armouries Museum, which is what we came to see, it is perfect location, as well as being a short walk from the shopping centre. One small issue is the pillows for the bed were not very comfortable at all and me and my partner did not sleep well due to this. Whilst the room itself was nice I feel like what would make it more welcoming is something like complimentary tea and coffee with a kettle and cups. However this is a small nitpick as we were able to purchase beverages from the reception at a reasonable cost. Breakfast was a good price and a lot of lovely choices. Overall this was a pleasant stay and we enjoyed our visit.
