Clarion Cedar Court Wakefield Hotel

Visited today for spa and afternoon tea. Very small changing room, and pool and gym. Steam room broken. Afternoon tea left a lot to be desired. Poor quality. Poor quantity. Not worth the money, wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t do again. Mismatched furniture and staff arguing about assembling chair in the room we had afternoon tea, alongside the broken machinery. Biggest pro and credit to the company was Johnny who went out of his way to try and make our afternoon tea worth the £50, thinking outside the box and putting in effort. He’s a credit to the company.

We visited the Cedar Court Hotel Wakefield Spa for a day using the facilities finished off with an afternoon tea. Upon arrival Paul welcomed us, showed us all the facilities and put us at ease. We then used the gym which had everything we needed and then we had a swim, used the sauna, the steam room and the jacuzzi facilities until we were satisfied. Paul regularly checked we were happy and comfortable throughout. We then showered and changed and were taken to the well set out, informal seating area to have afternoon tea. The food was fantastic, dietary needs were confirmed and to our satisfaction. The opportunity to take anything we couldn’t eat was given too. Paul again checked we were content and that we had all of our needs met. Nothing was too much bother and we would recommend a visit here highly. Thank you for your hospitality Paul and the team.

I have been a member of the Cedar Court leisure club at Calder Grove for many many years , during this time many club managers and staff have come and gone. The current team are probably the best yet. Paul the current manager is clearly passionate about the service the club offers and has affected many much needed enhancements within the club and its become a brighter and better facility . The other team members , Lauren , Lindsay and the other young man ( sorry cant remember his name) are always cheerful and greet members with enthusiasm and warmth. I was considering moving to another club last year but due to the efforts of the current leisure club team i shall be staying put. Thanks to Paul and team. Rgds Tony Whittaker
