York House Hotel

The rooms in this hotel need a serious coat of paint and new carpets. The room was dark and dingy The carpet was threadbare and I tripped up on it. No sockets either side of the bed. 1 double socket for kettle and fridge. The bed was the worst bed I've ever slept in my entire life. It was so uncomfortable that when it got to 5am we started packing and was out of there by 5.20. Never even bothered with shower - just wanted to get home to catch up with sleep. The shower room even though it was wiffy from drains was clean but, it very narrow. I struggled to get past the sink to the shower. It's a roof over your head, it's cheep.

Looks good on paper. But on arrival we soon realised this was a half way hotel for the homeless the smell of weed was overpowering. No breakfast was offered and the restaurant was hardly open will not be returning

We saw some of the reviews on this hotel so wasn’t sure what to expect. We got there and we was pleasantly surprised how nice it was. Our room was very clean and the bed very comfortable and the manager was very helpful and attentive. If you’re looking for a nice meal then look no further than the restaurant next door the food was outstanding. Definitely recommend.
