Best Western Mayfield House Hotel

I have just spent a lovely Saturday/Saturday in the area and stayed at Pettifers. Had the most warm welcome from Frank which was so lovely. The room was great, the hotel is lovely, service was fab, food was great too. The location was really good and perfect to travel around to see main sites. I took my dog with me also and he was very much welcomed too. In all honesty I never stay at the same hotel more than once but will be making an exception for Pettifers, can’t wait to come back again soon: Thank you Frank and Lynne, highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Frank was an exceptional host who made our first trip to the Cotswolds feel truly like home. From the moment we arrived, he was thoughtful, welcoming, and incredibly kind. He went above and beyond to help us, from recommending places to visit and arranging taxis to making sure we always felt comfortable and safe. His generosity even extended to lending us his own water bottle, which was such a thoughtful gesture. We’re so grateful for his hospitality and are already looking forward to returning someday.

We recently stayed at Pettifers Hotel with our two toddlers, and I honestly can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. Nothing was ever too much to ask, and every member of staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming and genuinely happy to help. Frank and Lynn, in particular, were absolutely amazing. Their warmth, kindness and genuine care made such a difference to our stay, making us feel less like guests and more like part of the family. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and perfect for travelling with young children. As any parent knows, holidays with toddlers can be unpredictable, but the team showed nothing but patience, kindness and understanding throughout our stay. They went above and beyond to make us all feel comfortable. Breakfast was another highlight. There was a fantastic variety of locally sourced produce, along with thoughtful homemade touches such as the delicious granola and fruit compote. It was clear that quality and supporting local suppliers are important to the hotel, and it really showed. We also loved the selection of locally made products available to purchase at reception. It was such a lovely touch and a great way to take a little piece of the area home with us. Our extended family came to visit one evening and were made to feel just as welcome. The whole atmosphere of the hotel is warm, relaxed and wonderfully family-oriented. Staying here truly felt like receiving one big warm hug. It’s rare to find somewhere that combines exceptional hospitality, beautiful accommodation and such genuine care for its guests. A huge thank you to Frank, Lynn and the whole team for making our stay so special. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and will be recommending Pettifers Hotel to anyone looking for a truly welcoming place to stay.
