This is a pub with rooms upstairs. It is inexpensive so I had low expectations. I had tried to book the nearby Highworth Hotel where we were attending a party, but we it was fully booked and this was the alternative. It is very tired, dirty carpet, paint peeling off the walls. The bed was comfy and clean but overall, even at £60 a night it’s not great! If you have a pressing need to stay in Highworth and don’t want to pay more I guess it’s OK for a night but we decided to drive home after our ‘do’ and forget the second night we’d booked for.

The room was appalling very run down and dirty, cobwebs, filthy carpet,tv I think wiped over with a damp dirty rag, they charge low rate and possibly expect you to not expect much, which is exactly what you got, booked 2 nights ,managed to stay 1,fowl smell coming from toilet system

The most uncomfortable bed I've ever tried to sleep in. The room was disgusting, absolutely filthy, the carpet was held down with gaff tape!! The shower and toilet were even worse, mould and filth everywhere. Do not stay in this vile scum of a dump!
