We paid to upgrade our room for a better experience. Yet, each of 4 nights we had to stop our showers midway to let the drain go down so we didn’t flood the bathroom. For the last 24 hours our toilet didn’t flush correctly. I resorted to taking the teapot and filling it with water and pouring into the toilet. Even that didn’t fully resolve the issue. Your staff is lovely; but, they couldn’t resolve either issue. They didn’t offer us another room- I imagine because you were fully booked at times. I believe this isn’t the experience we should have had from a fine establishment and we should receive a discount. However, the general manager specifically told the staff they should not give me a discount despite our problems. He was not on premises so I emailed him twice and he never responded to me (prior to his going on vacation) He shows a total disregard for his patrons by his lack of response. Sometimes problems can’t be fixed; but, you can always control how you handle the situation. His business probably won’t be affected by this review. If you decide to go ahead and book here at least request that you not be put into The Blue Room!

Attended a family party for 70 people on Saturday having stayed at Buckland Manor severalbtimes previously. The food was absolutely fantastic and put many high end London restaurants to shame. The service was outstanding - professional yet friendly. A special mention must go to Lee who managed the whole event superbly and for whom nothing was too much trouble. When the food, service and ambience is combined with the stunning setting of this hotel, it makes it one of the very best hotels in the country.

We came here for 1 night because of a mix up with another booking. We were made to feel extremely welcome and they even supplied a giant bed complete with sheepskin topper and poo bags for our 2 dogs. The room was very comfortable with everything we could possibly need to hand. We had a delicious meal out on the terrace, excellent and very willing service. Breakfast was equally as good and again all the staff were very friendly. The dogs were kept amused by the deer running in the grounds. The only downside was we’d booked elsewhere for the rest of the week! Thank you everyone for being so accommodating.
