The hotel is actually okay, but it’s far from budget in price, so expectations were high.
No climate control in the rooms meant our particular room was incredibly hot. The window was wide open and it was still so hot, we slept on top of the beds. There was a lack of air in the room and it was like re-living the heatwave.
On our first evening we ate in the bar. The young man serving was a little lacklustre and disinterested. Buying drinks and not being offered a glass, or ice, is a schoolboy style error.
We didn’t have high expectations of the food and we weren’t disappointed. It should have been so much better. In fact, it was poor. I’d rather have eaten at McDonald's and that’s saying something as I never eat in fast food restaurants.
The waitress however was fab!
Likewise, the reception staff were lovely. In fact, all of the staff (and the housekeepers) we encountered were very nice. The facilities on offer are also good, but, the room was simply not up to par and it’s not cheap.
