Crowne Plaza Birmingham

We had such a great stay at the Crowne Plaza in Birmingham. The staff were brilliant — warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help with anything. It made the whole visit feel easy and enjoyable. Breakfast was a real treat. Loads of choice, everything fresh, and you never felt rushed. It’s the kind of breakfast that actually puts you in a good mood for the day. The rooms were spot‑on too: comfy beds, spotless spaces, and a really high standard all round. It’s the sort of place where you walk in, drop your bags, and instantly feel relaxed. And you honestly couldn’t ask for a better location. You’re right in the middle of everything — shops, restaurants, transport, all just a short stroll away. We were attending a concert at Symphony Hall which was just a few minutes walk away. All in all, a fantastic stay. Friendly people, great food, lovely rooms, and a perfect base for exploring Birmingham. Highly recommended.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay at "Crowne Plaza Birmingham City Centre" The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and professional, which made our stay very enjoyable. I would especially like to thank "Sylvia", the breakfast hall manager. She was exceptional. She regularly checked on my son, who has a disability, and on me throughout breakfast to make sure we had everything we needed. Her kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care made a real difference to our experience. I loved the cappuccino that she made me (see the pic). I would also like to thank "Christina", who worked in the breakfast lounge. She was always friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent service. A special thank you also goes to the receptionist who checked us in at around 11:00 p.m. on 8 July. He was incredibly warm, kind, and welcoming, giving us a great first impression of the hotel. :( sorry that I didnt catch your name. There were, however, three aspects of our stay that could be improved. First, when I asked a housekeeper to clean our room while we remained inside, she told me that we had to leave the room because it was not allowed for housekeeping to clean while guests were present. I have travelled extensively and stayed in many luxury hotels, including other Crowne Plaza properties, and I have never been told that guests must leave their room for housekeeping to clean it. If this is a hotel policy, it should be communicated clearly. If it is not, I believe the situation could have been handled better. Second, I was surprised that essential toiletries such as a shaving kit were not available. These are basic amenities that many hotels provide upon request. Third, the room did not have a refrigerator. Having one would have been very helpful, as I needed to store medication during my stay. Fourth, while I appreciated that the hotel offered vegan breakfast options, the selection became repetitive during our stay (little bit long stay). It would be great to see more variety, such as vegan pancakes, waffles, vegan scrambled eggs (made from tofu). I also hope the hotel considers changing the vegan sausage, as I found its texture quite rubbery and the flavour was not particularly enjoyable. Despite these points, our overall experience was very positive. The outstanding customer service from Sylvia, Christina, and the receptionist, together with the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel, made our stay enjoyable. I would happily stay here again and hope these small areas can be improved in the future.

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza for a business trip and had an excellent experience. The staff were genuinely friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, making my stay stress free from check-in to check-out. My room was also ready earlier than expected, which was greatly appreciated after travelling and made a fantastic first impression. The room itself was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully laid out, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Having both a bath and separate shower. Breakfast was one of the highlights, and had plenty of choice. The hotel’s location was also excellent, making it easy to get around and very convenient for both work and local amenities. Overall, I had a great stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on future business trips. Highly recommended.
