Globe Inn

We had our son's 18 Birthday party here at the function room. Once we decided the venue which takes you into a really nice pub area before the function room, we had good communications with Joe and Claire from start to finish. We had the gold buffet which was really nice--we were able to change a few items like for like; the room is lovely-friendly and warm atmosphere. The staff helped us to provide more chairs on request. We also had the DJ. At first you wonder what sort of tunes are going to be popular to get everyone up and dancing for an 18th but what a party it was. The venue also has accommodation and although we did not stay over --we did nt hear of any complaints from friends and family who stayed over. The venue is convenient to the city centre and parking is free after 6pm. Thank you for a great evening here.

3rd visit to this hotel & again it was a lovely overnight stay. Quiet & comfy rooms, great shower - easy check in / check out. Look forward to staying again in June.

We visited this hotel for 2 nights, could not check in so decided on having a lunch, had jacket potato with cheese and salad, the portion of cheese was extremely small, ( smallest ever received) therefore did not eat again throughout our trip , and found a lovely pub Market Vaults who's portions were very generous and very reasonably priced. The room was OK, needed more attention from housekeeping as it was very dusty , 1 towel was dirty on arrival, and they forgot to replace any towels on the 2nd day , luckily we came back before closing time otherwise could not even dry hands as no staff on after 10 o'clock. The room was extremely hot so asked about a fan and told there was a £10 charge so didn't botter, also asked about a hairdryer and was told they did not supply them although funny enough a previous review stated hairdryer in room. Staff were polite but unfortunately we left disappointed.
