Ramada Birmingham City Centre

Excellent location very close to all the attractions bars and restaurants. If not for this we would have rated this apartment as zero. Check in instructions were inaccurate so couldn't access the car park until given the correct access instructions by a resident whom happened to be passing by, Communication was generally poor. For example we were given 3 different check out times and then told to ignore the check out instruction book in the property. Owner insisted on using WhatsApp rather than communicating through Booking.com. Had to pick up and return the keys to a convenience store some distance from the property. Apartment is very tired and dirty. The windows have been used by smokers with ash at the bottom of the frames. Took a breakfast bowl out of the kitchen cupboard and it had a lot of water in it. The apartment is dark with only 2 windows and lights not working in the bathroom and kitchen area. Lots of damage to furniture and walls and the property is very very tired. It has clearly had a lot of misuse, Stained blinds. Shower over the bath with a big step to get in and no handrail or non slip mat so having a shower was hazardous. Hot water from the shower was hit and miss. It would start out hot, go cold and then get hot again. Our best guess is the thermostatic valve is faulty. Common parts of the block smelt of take aways. If we had known the above there is no way we would have made a booking.

The worst ever hotel i booked in they tried to charge deposit but they couldnt i tried to pay cash but they didnt allow me to , on top of all that they want to kick us out and charge us 90 pounds for cancellation not acceptable worst ever hotel , they checked us in at 3pm and check out at 10am , 0 stars worst reviewed hotel if your trying to book , please dont save your money and go to another hote

Fantastic apartment in a great location, especially for Alexandra Theatre. And plenty of restaurants close by. Friendly, efficient welcome. Clean and spacious with all needed amenities. Lovely balcony on one side but would be nice to be able to access both balconies and especially open both sets of doors when warm. But great place overall, would stay again.
