The St Johns Hotel

Staff are amazing from reception through to the spa & the restaurant The beds are so comfortable it’s unbelievable, it’s one of the few places away from home I can sleep. Very happy with my stay, I have stayed several times and will continue coming back. The only thing I would say is that the disabled changing room / shower in the pool area needs a reallly good scrub, the first thing I have ever found to be a problem there. Apart from that 10/10 for everything else

An urban location but fortunately none too noisy (either from road traffic or passing drunks). Not our kind of preferred architecture as it's much too modern....porcelain and glass. We didn't like paying a tenner for a day's hotel parking, but can understand why the hotel makes this charge: proximity to Birmingham airport. It's perfectly possible guests checked in for a night and then left their car at the hotel for two weeks. The room was fairly comfortable, although the kettle didn't work. This was replaced promptly within 10 minutes. A satisfactory breakfast, nothing outstanding but by no means bad. Horse for courses, and we'd prefer a much older hotel with more character, and out in the countryside.

Air conditioning not working for 2 of our 4 nights stay. Know one on site on the Sunday to remedy the issue. Room was oppressive with heat. We didn’t sleep well for 2 nights. No fridges in rooms , weather was hot and drinks went lukewarm as unable to keep cool. Considering prices and hotel description it’s unbelievable they don’t have fridges in all rooms.
