Village Prem Solihull Hotel and Leisure Club

I have stayed at several Village Hotels and had mixed experiences and that applies to this hotel too, which is why I have avoided for some time. However, I heard it had been refurbished. On arrival the car park was extremely busy. However, it does have a health club that’s used by members that are non hotel residents. I did find a car parking space after a 5 minute wait, so not an issue. The hotel was partly covered in scaffolding and the receptionist did apologise and explained the added rooms had been completed and the finishing touches were being finished. With the interaction I had with the staff the receptionist was very polite and helpful with the semi automated check in. My room included the pool access and free car parking that is chargeable otherwise. I was on the 1st in a Club Room and I was in the new section of the hotel. The corridor as you walk out is lighter, the room doors are brightly painted in pastel colours and new lighter carpets in the corridors. When I stepped into my room which was one of the newly added rooms I realised the hotel and owners had seriously up’d their game in furniture, lighter rooms, smart functional bathroom and I like water filter tap in bathroom for drinking water. The room included wall mounted shampoo, body wash and conditioner. The bed was very comfortable and the 4 larger pillows were exceptional. The open fronted wardrobe was very functional and a great idea and as walk into the room there’s a wall mounted ironing board, such a good idea. Plenty of lights, tea and coffee facilities and a HUGE wall mounted tv. There are wall mounted USB sockets beside the bed on both sides. The blind on the window was within a frame so with the effective air conditioning the blind didn’t move and created a 100% black out. Despite being a busy hotel I found the room very quiet and I had a fantastic nights sleep. My last experience here was shocking and as a result I was offered a free nights stay. However, because it was so bad I never accepted the offer. Now I will 100% return. They have transformed this hotel!

I just wanted to say a big thank you to Tracey for organising my daughter’s birthday party so wonderfully. Everything went really well, and we couldn’t have been happier with how the event turned out. The food was beautifully prepared, and all of our guests thoroughly enjoyed the party. Alice and her colleagues were absolutely brilliant , friendly, attentive, and so helpful throughout the day. They really helped make everything run smoothly. Thank you again for all your hard work in making our daughter’s birthday so special. We truly appreciate everything you and your team did! 😊

Excellent, friendly staff and facilities. Always happy to help with an issue. Would recommend using the meeting room 100%.
