Hampton Inn Madison

I arrived at the hotel after Dark. There was construction going on within the hotel and they had a large dumpster in the parking lot. Because it was dark, I did not realize that they had screws and nails strewn throughout the hotel parking lot and drive areas. As a result, I got one of the screws in my tire. I took multiple photographs and videos of this and even found the same screw type Within 10 ft of my car in the parking lot. Because I had to drive four plus hours from the hotel the next day it was not safe. I had to stop my plans go to the nearest tire shop to have it fixed. Not only did this cost me additional money it also caused significant inconvenience. This is as a result of the hotel negligence not providing clean and safe facilities on Hotel grounds. After several emails without a reply I am thoroughly frustrated.

We had a nice stay at this hotel. It scored highly on all of our criteria on our hotel checklist that we make to rate hotels and resorts. The only place it failed with breakfast variety and breakfast person was not friendly. Otherwise okay as a stopover on the way home.

Stayed here the night before a flight and the hotel was clean, in a good location convenient to the airport, and front desk staff was friendly. The breakfast in the morning was completely gone at 8am and no refills were occurring - was bummed to have no eggs or yogurt.
