HAMPTON INN MOBILE EAST BAYDAP

Hotel was decent. View is beautiful which is why we booked. Stated it was recently renovated which I assume means the outside and lobby. However, rooms and floors didn’t appear to be renovated whatsoever. Our room smelled good but did not seem clean. Didn’t take long of looking to notice the dirtiness. Needless to say shoes stayed on at all times. I will say that the bed didn’t scare me though. White linens were white and seemed clean. Floor was dirty. Toilet area dirty. The floor was peeling up and wallpaper bubbled up. But again the view was nice, lobby was clean, and breakfast was yummy and well stocked. Pool seemed nice but we didn’t have time to swim.

Great location. Right off I-45 beautifully situated on the bay. Room was clean and staff went above and beyond for customer service. We arrived very late after a long day of driving- Will at the front desk moved his car from a front park so we didn’t have to park behind hotel. The room was quiet and we got sound sleep. Bed was very comfortable. Rooms have balcony’s and the view from west side of hotel was beautiful.

The inside of the hotel was very humid. The A/C kept the room cold, but it still had an odd humidity that is not normally felt inside a building. Housekeeping services were not great. We were out of shampoo, body wash, toilet paper, and tissues, and even though our room was "serviced" that day, none of them were replaced. We had to call the front desk to request those items. There was a wide variety at breakfast. The scrambled eggs were horrible. The omelettes were a little better. My favorite thing was the French toast sticks. My husband's favorite thing were the blueberry scones. I typically love waffles, but they were not worth the calories to me. The pork sausage was greasy. The chicken sausage was good, but it was only served one of the 4 days we were there. If you like to watch alligators, there are a couple that live in the water right outside the hotel. We saw them several times. Most of the parking area is a pretty long walk from the hotel.
