Quality Inn Airport

I'd give this place a 2.5. Some people said this place is a gem - don't believe them. The rooms were just okay, nothing special, the shuttle driver arrived promptly and it's litterly a 5 minute ride to the airport. The A/C was on but the room was always warm. They were very chincy with the soap, and there is nothing to grab onto when getting into the tub. We had an early check-out so we missed breakfast. From the reviews, we didn't miss much. We were there for only an overnight, and honestly, I would not stay there again. I booked it because it was cheap ($300). It's not the worst area of Anchorage, but it certainly wasn't the best. Not many places to eat, and there were a few sketchy people hanging around. The lobby area is ok - it had comfortable couches where you could relax until your room was ready. Spend a few extra bucks and go somewhere else.

This was the cheapest I could find, but I’ve learned not to always go with cheap. It was a place to sleep and even then we nearly cancelled our booking. The lobby was nice and bright, but the rooms were small, out of date, and sketchy. My husband (who doesn’t usually get weirded out by places) was ready to cancel once the elevator doors opened, but we were traveling with kids who were ready for bed. The hotel is in a sketchy part of town and even had bins mingling outside smoking who knows what. The bathroom paint was peeling and the shower had a huge dent in the bottom. The breakfast was okay…hot and cold selections but no juice or milk, only water to drink

Unfortunately, the hotel does not match the displayed 3 stars. The allotted room was right on a main road opposite a gas station and therefore very noisy. It was not possible to change the booking (according to Reception) since fully booked (according to Booking.com nicht). The room was dirty. The bathroom and toilet dirty. The furniture worn out, chairs and refrigerator dirty and in bad condition. Breakfast was just typical American. There is no restaurant or shared kitchen. The room was cleaned on request on the third day. Automatic cleaning was not included. You had to complain about it again and again at the reception. Then half-hearted cleaning was done. Internet is available but very slow. A darkening (about 22 hours bright in Anchorage) is not possible because the curtains have holes and cannot be closed completely. We mean max. 2 stars if anything. Pictures from the hotel site do not match what you experienced. The only positive is the free parking. Never this hotel again.
