The hotel is undergoing refurbishment but we didn't notice any increased noise due to it. The checkin process was easy due to the helpful staff. The suite had all the amenities you could need with a separate bedroom and a good seating area in front of a tv. The kitchen had a hob,microwave, dishwasher and full size fridge freezer. Pool area is well maintained and very relaxing. All the outside areas are well kept and maintained. Breakfast is served in the lobby with a selection of hot and cold buffet which is tasty and enough to start the day. The best thing about this hotel is the staff every one we met approachable in particular Terria,Crystal and Sarah had all the information to hand about the area and were just really friendly and helpful. I believe they have a mermaid working behind reception.We couldn't believe the hotel loaned you beach chairs and umbrellas. The hotel will soon have a bar which we will make use of on our next visit. So bad we checked out after 18 hours.The pictures posted by the property do not represent what they allocate you. I wasn't expecting 5star but I expected clean and well maintained it was neither far from it. There own website says they carry out a new standard of hotel cleaning, well it's the lowest standard I've ever seen. Room was dirty, doors were grubby and in need of cleaning. Stove was filthy and looked really old. Blinds had speckles of debris all over them and dead flies on the windows behind the blind. Controls for fan in living room didn't work. Walls were all marked and dirty with paint coming off. Bathroom shelf was missing as brackets we're rotted away. The air-conditioning unit rattled all the time, I expect fan noise but not this racket. The Aircon looked really badly fitted,just looked awful. The room was down a little alleyway with no outside space the door mechanism had no backing so batteries could fall out. Pool and hottub area were dirty with iguana poo on side of pool which we know can happen but we told staff as they were cleaning pool, it was still there the next day. We asked for another room but we were told the only option is to pay $200+ per night so would have been $700 extra which we declined. I expected something that resembled what they advertised. I'm sure they will disagree but you've been warned booked at your own risk.

The sunrise was beautiful, and our unit was clean, updated, and had a nice kitchen. Unfortunately, those positives were overshadowed by some major problems. The smell from the decomposing seaweed was overwhelming. I completely understand that the resort cannot control Mother Nature or prevent seaweed from washing ashore. However, staff acknowledged that they lose guests because of the smell, so this is clearly a known issue. It also wasn’t just the smell. There was a significant amount of trash mixed into the seaweed along the shoreline. The property next door is undeveloped, allowing a large amount of seaweed and debris to accumulate there as well, which seemed to make the odor around the resort even worse. The waterfront simply wasn’t enjoyable. Then we discovered that the pool was closed for ongoing work, something we were never told before arriving. When guests cannot realistically enjoy the water because of the shoreline conditions, having the pool closed becomes especially significant. Had we been notified that the pool was unavailable, we would not have booked. I understand that no resort can predict the weather or advertise every problem it may encounter. But a known pool closure is completely within the resort’s control to disclose before guests arrive. Combined with the waterfront conditions and stench, our experience felt very different from what we thought we were booking. For us, it felt like a bait and switch. Two stars because the unit itself was clean and the sunrise was beautiful, but we were disappointed enough with the overall experience that we forfeited two prepaid nights rather than stay.

This place is absolutely HORRIBLE. I typically do not complain but I had to write about this one. At check in, I was given a room with no working toilet. When moved to a 2nd room, it was currently being cleaned. When I walked in, there was blood(?) on a pillowcase, hairs in the dirty sheets that were just placed on the bed, who knows what smeared on a door, and someone’s old food in the dirty fridge! The grounds were dirty, messy, and the entire place smelt so awful that I had to leave. There was so much trash in the water you could not put in the kayaks because of it. I proceeded to check out and asked for a refund. I have been going between them and booking everyday for over a week trying to get a refund. The staff (except Summer) has been impossible to get (see my call log where I have called with mostly no answer). Avoid this place for your own health. And yes, I have been in morgues nicer and cleaner than this!
