Sombrero Resort & Marina

BEWARE!!! They will over charge you. Paid the so called resort fee when I booked but was charge again and even more after my stay. Pre-Paid upfront for my stay, so when arrived I was asked for a CC for incidentals but was charge $162. When I called was told it was a resort fee, when I explained I already paid that fee when booking and asked for his name and to speak to a manager, he hung up on me. Called back and he would answer and hang up again.

I really wanted to like this resort, but unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. The room was crawling with bugs, which made it difficult to relax or sleep comfortably. To make matters worse, the air conditioning barely worked, leaving the room hot and humid throughout our stay. The biggest issue is that the property seems completely unprepared for rain. Even a small shower caused flooding in multiple areas, making it difficult to get around and creating a messy, unpleasant environment. For the price we paid, I expected much better maintenance and basic accommodations. The location is nice, but the bugs, lack of A/C, and flooding problems completely overshadowed any positives. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Comfortable and very spacious suite. Friendly and helpful staff. Good live entertainment and a neighborhood feeling bar poolside. Great staff! We would return and recommend!
