Lodge on the River

Front desk staff & Employees are amazing Helpful and kind

NEVER!! DO NOT EVER STAY HERE!! THEY HAD NOT HAD ROOM SERVICE IN 2 WEEKS WHEN I WAS THERE! The fridge was DISGUSTING, broken, trying to run but was warm and SMELLED AWFUL. It was VISIBLY SOOOO dirty! The guy moved us. The room he moved us to somebody had ALREADY SLEPT IN THE BED!! There was an indent where a body had been. There were burns on the being and stained. I would a NOT EVEN STEP FOOT in that shower!! The toilet wasn't something I would sit on. We did not even stay our second night. The "owner" is DREADFUL to talk to. She's off 4 year old status. She literally cut new off when I was making valid points that she did not want to hear and kept repeating "i can't hear you i can't hear you i can't hear you" exactly like a toddler would!! ABSURD!!! She treats her staff HORRIBLY!! I would not recommend to even someone I despised!!!! I never got my refund of ANY kind for my night i did not stay, AAAAND the owner had commandeered the computer remotely so the employee working could check me out. BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T WANT TO REFUND ME AND WANTED IT TO LOOK LIKE I HAD STAYED THERE!!!! DO NOT DO THIS!! SLEEP IN YOUR VEHICLE!!! DEFIBRILLATOR DON'T BRING CHILDREN HERE!!! Do yourself a favor. Go here if you're an addict looking for a good time for a half hour and are not worried about potential illnesses or whatever could be acquired from this DISGUSTING place!! It was late when we had arrived so unfortunately the only pictures I got are below, and they don't even compare to the rest of what we experienced!!!!

This place is a dump! Checked in, front desk clerk handed me some towels, which I thought was strange. She mentioned the wifi was spotty. Entered the room to find absolutely nothing in the room but a bed. No furniture at all, no TV, a counter with a shell of a coffee pot, no caraff or coffee supplies. I immediately called the front desk and the clerk said that a TV would do no good because the wifi doesn't work but I can have a maintenance guy try to find you a TV. I said..there is nothing in this room but a bed! She said..oh. I said that this is not going to work. We will not be staying here. I went back to the office and the front desk clerk said that she had good news and bad news. She reversed the $100 damage deposit (though there was nothing there to damage), but said that the site manager did not like to give refunds for the room. I asked for and was given the site manager's name and number. Lori Lascola 978 758-8080. Of course when I call, goes straight to voice mail with no call back. I called Booking.com and was told that they would reach out to the property to see if they would issue a refund and that they would have 48 hours to respond. They responded no, almost immediately. The agent at Booking.com said that they would escalate it with their team. Whatever that means. I used my debt card so I'm sure I will be out my $80. For those who say you get what you pay for, I never would have booked a cheaper place but it was the only place in the area. I will be contacting the FTC and BBB and will no longer use Booking.com as I feel that they don't protect consumers from doing business with obvious thieves.
