I stayed at the Extend-a-Suites on Elliott Road in Tempe. When I arrived, I paid for 3 nights with the understanding I could cancel if my husband was discharged from the nearby hospital earlier than Thursday, per the information on their website. My stay was horrid! Some of the outlet covers were missing. The lamps were not even plugged in. I asked for a 1st floor room, or near the elevator, and was given the farthest room away from the elevator, on the 2nd floor. The toilet had pubes on it, so not cleaned. The TV screen was visibly cracked, affecting viewing. The toilet was so low pressure, I had to flush 3 times for just pee. There was no cover on the exterior light next to the door. When I tried to appeal to the desk clerk for a refund, she was adamant and ended up being rude. I am a senior on fixed income. My husband was discharged early, and we live 4 hours away. So I ended up paying for 2 nights when I didn't even stay in that nasty room. Simply shameful to take advantage of senior citizens in that way. I will never stay with this chain ever again.

Convenient location for the Airport but not if you want to sleep. Right next to the interstate so high traffic noise, plus jets overhead and a very loud and old a/c system.
Check in very slow. There were other guests ahead of us compaining about issues - that should have been my first clue. Same at checkout.
Booked for two nights pre-paid so I could not get out of it.
Room was big but bed was small. No extra pillow or blanket in room and no help from front desk. No tidying room up between nights, so no replacement of soap, tissue paper, etc. Front desk no help.
No breakfast or any other extras. Only extra was the small roach crawling on the bathroom floor.
Pictures on TripAdvisor are all Pre-covid. Place is very spartan and bare now.
Our reservation included a bathtub but none were available. Disappointing.
Place looks like it plans on closing? Signs not replaced and generally dim and dark.

I booked a stay on October 29th 2022 as part of a package deal on Expedia for my son to arrive November 23 for Thanksgiving. On November 11, 2022 I received a note from Expedia stating the hotel is not honoring my reservation. When I called the hotel, I was told, "We will no longer be a hotel." A decsion not to be a hotel does not happen overnight and should not include making people scramble over the holidays to find accomodations at the last minute. The hospitality and travel industries should blacklist the owners, franchise owners and/or the parent company from any booking support FOREVER and save the public from a mismanaged hotel infested with owners lacking in basic integrity.
